Professor Glenn Fredrickson Receives 2016 William H. Walker Award from the AIChE

Congratulations to Professor Glenn Fredrickson who has received the 2016 William H. Walker Award for Excellence in Contributions to Chemical Engineering Literature from the AIChE. The William H. Walker Award is presented annually to a member of AIChE who has made an outstanding contribution to chemical engineering literature. Professor Fredrickson will receive the award at the institute's annual honors ceremony, held during AIChE's 2016 Annual Meeting in San Fransisco this November.

The Walker Award is named after Dr. William H. Walker, one of the pioneers of chemical engineering practice and principles in the United States. Considered one of the founders of the chemical engineering discipline, Dr. Walker was also the chair of industrial chemistry at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1894 until his death in 1934. The award, commemorating Dr. Walker, has been presented every year since 1936.
