AIChE WIC Interviews Professor Rachel Segalman on Women Finding Opportunities in Chemical Engineering

Rachel Segalman, Edward Noble Kramer Professor and Department Chair at UC Santa Barbara, was the keynote speaker at the 2017 AIChE Women's Initiative Committee (WIC) Networking Luncheon, held in Minneapolis, MN.

Following her keynote address, Professor Seglaman was interviewed by Professor Julianne Holloway, Arizona State University, and the current WIC chair. 

The event took place on October 29-30, with WIC programming events on Sunday, including Women Undergraduate, Graduate, and Post-doc Workshops, plus a discussion on Women Assistant Professors and Young Scientists – Developing Your Career, and WIC business meeting and networking reception. 

Professor Segalman delivered her keynote at the luncheon on Monday, October 30, and in the video interview below, she discusses aspects of her keynote presentation, Planning, Serendipity, and Optimism: Notes from a Career in Progress.
